Pricing
Pricing varies by job; it depends on a few variables including the extent and difficulty of the work, the materials used, and ease of access to the area. We bid per job, and all estimates are line-itemized, so you can customize your project as needed to fit your budget.
Typical Process
Once we receive your request, we will text or call you to get a better understanding of the work needed. We may request some photos of the location. If the scope of the work cannot be conveyed through photos and a conversation, we will schedule a walk-through on location to gain a better understanding. After we have spoken to or met with you, we will email you an estimate (usually within a few hours). If you accept the estimate, we will add you to our schedule and get the job done! Payment is expected at completion of the job (before we leave your home); we never ask for payment before the work is done.
Please be aware: Once we start on a job, we will continue working until it is completed. From time to time, we may run into unexpected issues (blockers in walls, faulty wiring, non-standard stud configurations, etc.) that extend the work time on a job. On the flipside of the coin, a job occasionally takes less time and we finish ahead of schedule. Please also remember that we have to consider the drive time between client’s houses. We try our very best to arrive at the planned time, but sometimes we have to delay start times, and sometimes, we can arrive earlier than planned. We will always communicate any schedule changes as soon as we are aware so that you can plan out your day without too much interference from us.
To ensure your job goes smoothly, please consider the following:
Dogs: we love them, but if your dog is overly friendly or will get in our way, please put them in a separate area. We are working with expensive equipment and don’t want to injure pets or damage materials because of an overzealous pup.
Children: we love kids, too! In order to keep them safe, please have them stay out of our work area and away from our work bags – there are many enticing and dangerous tools in there.
Work area: please have the area in which we are working cleared and ready. We are happy to help move large furniture, but if you could clear off mantels, shelves, and dressers, and move decorative items that hinder access to an area, that would be very helpful to us getting started right away.
